Not by a long shot.

Have you missed the big U move? Not by a long shot. Its still early days, my thoughts on the Uranium Boom and the Resource SuperCycle Buy Pete Soper 8th April 2006 © Copyright Peter Soper
Besides other large uranium hungry countries like Russia soon announcing they are wanting Australian uranium, its still illegal to mine uranium in all states except for a territory the Northern Territory NT and the 3 mines allowed buy law from the 3 mine policy set buy prev government, soon the other states that have u will announce that they will make it legal to mine uranium in Australia. WA and QLD should do so this year but if not should be announced when the Labour Party has its National conference next year, WA Govt is under pressure internally and Johnny Howard PM should put some pressure on Qld Govt to wake up and let companies mine to sell and export uranium. There are i think many other countries who have seen Japans wealth generated buy its Nuclear Power Stations and they want the same for there country, i think the snowball effect will come into play soon as countries see why China and India want to generate huge amounts of power cheaply, the effect on the economy is immense when you have this as products are easier to modernise and produce, transport goods. Business investment rises sharply the standard of living increases greatly, soon most countries leaders will know this and take steps to lock in uranium supply agreements.
Many people wonder when will this share / stock price increase stop and even decline.
my thoughts are
This is the 21st century, energy is going to be a very important commodity, at no time in history has there been so many people who are going to want and be able to pay for large amounts of energy. Modern Technology will allow this to happen more than anything. Its overdue!
The world went into a sort of mental block on energy production from uranium because it is used to make weapons and other negative feedback from accidents. If we looked at how many people killed on the road each year we should ban roads and cars sort of mentality, also mistakes where made as Nuclear Science is a strange new science
So most mines where banned, in Australia 3 mines where left open so we could sell to the usa our closest Greatest Ally who relies and has know the economic benefits of uranium use since its invention. Japan is a role model of American Commercialization and without Nuclear Power would not be the economic powerhouse it is today.

Most companies who had uranium deposits or plans to develop or prospect fast denied anything to do with uranium and abandoned plans for this and the small companies now hold a big % of these prime uranium tenements.
Certain organisations who mean well but did not study the facts also scared these companies into burring deeeeep any plans for uranium.
The governments around the world have been telling fibs about how many nuclear warheads and u308 they had stockpiled and in production
each government was thinking they had a large supply in the warheads to draw on, as sales increased faster than imagined and domestic use also increased past expectations the governments had a closer look at how much u308 they actually did have in reserves it was allot less than thought, also the fact that most fib about actual reservers the real uranium shortage is worse than imagined, they assumed that buying uranium would not be hard, speculators are hoarding uranium to sell later at a profit, also a uranium fund has been created and many more are sure to follow, these funds will buy and store uranium to sell later.
At the moment most mining companies are trying to find uranium, many will in the next 12 months prove resources and in 24 months many will open mines.
The shortage i think is so serious that the problem of acquiring uranium for the next 10 years will keep the uranium spot price in an upward trend.
we are now in a situation where the most populous countries are reaching a point where they want and can afford to modernize, with modernization comes the great energy needs. This is overdue. The other countries will follow suit.
Now think how long will this go on for, is it 5 years, 10, 20
i think it will be close to 100 years before our energy needs plane
most if not all countries can and probably will want nuclear power once they realize clean cheep energy is the key to a great economy, wealth creation.
without clean cheap energy you cant have a great economy. uranium can goto $600 a pound without effecting the end users price for electricity.
In the next 20 years several new inventions will need amounts of energy unheard of, Nuclear will most likely be the best solution at the time.
the really amazing thing is that this situation has developed, most mines are underdeveloped
I am really excited that such an important energy source has been left underdeveloped, neglected ignored. © Copyright 1996 Peter Soper

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://asx-uranium-shares-stocks.blogspot.com/2007/02/have-you-missed-big-u-move-not-by-long.html' title='Have you missed the big U move? Uranium as fuel) is rapidly gaining ground as an alternate base load source of electricity as the effects of fossil fuel burning and its contribution to global warming is being recognised. This realisation and looming shortages of Uranium has led to a remarkable correction in its price, which presently (Dec '05) stands at US$36-25 - an increase of 75% over 12 months. In line with its long term vision of becoming a significant uranium producer, the Company’s strategy is to identify, acquire and evaluate advanced uranium projects. Since 1998, during a period of heavy downturn in global uranium markets, Paladin has been accumulating a quality portfolio of advanced projects with clear production potential.
PDN floated in 1993 after acquiring uranium assets and key staff from German company Uranerz. For ten years PDN was actively seeking to develop a uranium mine. In 2002 the company acquired the Langer Heinrich project from ASX listed company Acclaim Resources after they decided to focus on its Western Australian projects.
The recent strengthening of the uranium market, with forecasts of looming supply shortages and continued strong upward pressure on uranium oxide (U3O8) prices, has further enhanced Paladin’s position and gives it an excellent opportunity to become a significant supplier of primary uranium. uranium shares
A Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) on the Langer Heinrich Uranium Project in Namibia has recently been completed by GRD Minproc (Pty) and a BFS is about to commence on the Company’s Kayelekera Project in Malawi.
